Although Brazil in terms of its size and population ranks among the largest countries in the world and is the most important state of South America, our European awareness of its culture is often reduced only to football, samba and Carnival, what is of course totally inadequate and regrettable. We believe that through the introduction of outstanding creative work of Brazilian cartoonists we will contribute to a better knowledge and understanding of the rich and extremely valuable artistic culture of this beautiful country.
