Cristina Bernazzani

Cristina Bernazzani was born on April 1963 in Milan, Italy. She studied graphic art at „Instituto d’Arte di Monza“ and graduated in Parma. She has been freelance editorial illustrator for 28 years publishing for many important Italian magazines. In 2009 Cristina started painting and creating humorous drawings. She preferes painting with acrylic for the chromatic intensity and versatility. She presented her artworks at a number of individual and collective exhibitions (we can mention at least some of them: 2014 – Associazione Ohibo Milano, 2013 – Spazio Corelli Milano, 2012 – Libreria Hoepli Milano, 2011 – Il Volo di Milano, 2011 – Pittori a Robbiate, 2009 Galleria Le Nasse, etc). She participated at numerous cartoon contests and her artworks have been awarded a number of prizes, e.g. 2007, 2009 – Teheran “International Cartoon Biennal”, Iran; Porto Cartoon, Portugal – Prefinalista; 2008, 2010 – Ken Sprague Fund, “International Political Competition”, London, England – Highly commended; 2008 – Festival of European Satire   Poznan, Poland; 2009, 2010 – Humor a Gallarate “Grand Prix Marco Biassoni”, Italy – Menzione speciale della giuria, Premio della giuria; 2010 – Umoristi a Marostica “Gran Prix Scacchiera”, Italy – Premio speciale “Sandro Carlesso”; 2010, 2011 – Cartoon Sea Fano, Italy – “Caro precario”; 2010 – Boston International Humor Festival, USA;  2010 – ”A Smile Goes Round the World” Izmir, Turkey; 2011 – 35° Campionato Italiano della bugia, Pistoia, Italy; etc. Cristina Bernazzani is living and painting near Monza, Italy.
