Marco D'Agostino

Marco D’Agostino was born in 1963 in Pescara, Italy. Always fond of drawing, in the 80’s studied the art of engraving and successfully participated in several national and international exhibitions and festivals of graphics and won various awards. Illustrator and graphic artist, worked for several years with design agencies and then illustrated some educational publications and local institutions. In 2009 he started to participate in some contests of illustration getting good results, such as the publication in the “Lanciano in Comics” and “Work mentioned” at the 12th International Festival of Graphic Humor. He won the “1st prize” in the “Magnefut” Piano di Sorrento in 2009 and 2010. In the next years he got high recognition and numerous awards such as: 2011 – “Special Prize” Competition Nat. Humor and Satire CartoonSea Fano, Italy; 2012 – “Bronze Prize Cat” 5th Internat. “Smailing cat” web cartoon contest Arzebaijan; “5th Prize” competition “Smiles the World” Festival of Economics Trento; “1st Prize” Satire section in the International Competition “Humor in Gallarate”; “3rd Prize” Caricature section at the 1st Int. Cartoon Biennial Festival Africa Lagos, Nigeria; 2013 – “ECC Prize” in the 19th Euro-Kartonenale Kruishoutem, Belgium; 2014 – “International Award Umoristi a Marostica” at the 46th International Exhibition of Graphic Humour, Italy; “Honorable mention” at the 6th Cyprus International Cartoon Contest Cyprus; “Special Prize” at the 8th International Contest Urziceni, Romania; 2015 – “Honorable Diploma” at the 7th Int. Cartoon Contest Nosorog, Bosnia&Herzegovina;  “2nd prize” at the 20th Euro-Kartonenale Kruishoutem, Belgium; and many others. In the period April – June 2014 he had his personal exhibition of cartoon and caricature at the European Cartoon Center Kruishoutem, Belgium. He has collaborated with the sports editor of the newspaper “Il Centro” as a cartoonist-illustrator. Marco D’Agostino is living and working in Montesilvano (PE), Italy.
