Viktor KUBAL

The Nestor of Slovak cartoon and animated film Viktor Kubal was born on 20th March 1923 in St.Jur. Firstly he studied at Architectural College, then he studied at the High School of applied arts in Bratislava. He worked as an artist and film director. He was also a longtime editor of humour magazine “Rohac”. He is the fouder of Slovak animated and drawn film. For his filmmaking he got a plethora of major prizes and honorable mentions all over the world. He died on 24th April 1997 in Bratislava, but his artwork remains a constant value of Slovak and world art.
